Modern Warfare

Since a few weeks we have a Playstation 3.
2 of my colleagues have been heavily addicted to online gaming and practically forced me into buying one. It is supposed to be a really clever machine 'cause of HD resolution, blueray, media centre etc etc but I now found out now it is all about Call of Duty/Modern Warfare. You don't just play this for half an hour. You play it and before you know it is past midnight and your wife meanwhile went to bed angry.

It is carnaval again and the parade is passing our house so that we have a nice view of the happening.

Neighbours

I'm not much of a socializer in my neighbourhood but there is a neighbour who is really the odd one out here. Never says hi, always looks down when you meet him, dresses funny, big beard and fuzzy hair. You know the type...
Today I noticed he still didn't take his xmas lights down.
Makes you wonder what's really going on in these peoples minds.

Bambam

Bobby took her horse Bambam for a visit to the mansion. Strange to suddenly see a horse on your lawn.

1st class NOT

Crap! Got suckered into taking the train from the airport home.

Today I arrived in Istanbul/Turkey.

Time flies

Been to busy to keep up with the blog but will try and make it up.
I did another video on you tube. I like video editing and will see if I can improve my skills in due time.

Camiel IV

Yesterday we received a card in the mail.

It was a "thank you card" from Camiel.

Normally you would receive a card a few weeks after a funeral saying thank you for the attention and compassion yaddah yaddah yaddah... This was a real "Camiel card" and it just said:

Thank you for your warmth, love and friendship.

Xmas II

I am clearly in the wrong line of business. I have received a couple of lame e-cards but what Cheaks keeps bringing home is rediculous. Just now box number I don't how many... Including an icecream machine and all ingredients to make icecream and additional hardware. A big chunk of old Amsterdam cheese (only the best frikkin cheese in holland) wines, chocolates sweets, traditionally prepared cookies and bread, candles, pots and I don't know what more. From her boss she got 250euro and a lottery ticket. The grand price is 25mill. If she wins she will be a littlebit richer than her boss. That would be a real bummer! For him.

2 cars in front of me some stupid ass even took a spin and ended up face front in my path. Lucky I was driving my mums' 4wheeldrive!

Tack it!

Erwin brought his DEWALT tacker. That thing is the shit. Screw screwing cause tacking is much easier and quicker. Battery operated so no hassle with cables and hoses. 18v, adjustable powerthingy sothat you can tack just about anything. I gotta have this and tack me a gardencabin!

Men at work

Erwin and I started reconstruction on Dads carport. We will isolate it, replace the roof, replace dreinage, renew doors etc. Allthough it is a big job it will be nice to get out of the office and do some manual labor. O, and Erwins powertools are kickass!

Camiel III

Today was Camiels funeral.
It was very very, very impressive to say the least. His closest friends on bikes also rode Camiels bike behind the hearse. It was really packed with people, speeeches were amazing and saw many friendly faces from the past. It brought back a lot of memories.
I've seen a few funerals lately but this one was really heavy. A worthy goodbye for an even worthier character.

Camiel II

Just 2 weeks later Camiel left this world.
Although you know it is coming it still is a shock.
His homegirl Carolien just called me to give me the news and it was a shock and happy surprise at the same time when I saw his name in my phone while it was ringing. In the past 2 weeks I wanted to call him so many times but as he made me understand it was not really necessary to do so but for a moment I thought it was Camiel calling me...
She told me he had a happy couple of last weeks. He was satisfied and he past peacefully.
Respect to the guy that had so much going against him.
So long Camiel and thank you too!
